Contrails

One of my favorite fascinations has always been watching the contrails* fade behind jet aircraft. These earrings capture that same fascination. The sky-blue hemimorphite stones are streaked with white, just as contrails streak through the blue above, and are accented with small dots of blue glass.

Scads of green peridot adorn these earrings, dripping from vine-like connectors that remind me of la belle epoque. These would bring a touch of elegance to a black cocktail dress or just a bit of romance to jeans and a simple blouse.

Oh, these apatite and sterling silver earrings gave me so much trouble, the little devils, (thus the name) but I think you’ll agree the end result was worth it! Interestingly, one of the traditional metaphysical properties of apatite is to reduce irritability.

Beautiful rustic-faceted teardrops of deep blue-green apatite dangle in front of fun sterling silver loops. The picture does not do the stones justice – if you hold them in front of the light, they glow a deep translucent teal!

Splashing Peacock

The squares of translucent white agate that back these earrings appear to glow as the light hits them. It’s hard to describe but it’s beautiful. They’re fronted with sterling silver spirals… simple, yes, but full of beauty.
